In this series I will take one player from each team to add to my All 32 Bust Team for 2021.

RB: David Johnson

The whole team is already a bust.. Next!!

In all seriousness, there is really only one player that is an obvious choice to be a bust and that guy is oft-injured running back David Johnson. Johnson’s best days as a NFL running back are behind him. Don’t fall for the B.S. out there that he won many fantasy teams titles in 2020, because he didn’t. What Johnson did was have a big week 16 against a shit Cincy run defense (128 rush yards and two total TD’s), those championship teams definitely did not ride Johnson, and his four/basically five missed games, to title wins believe me.

Fast forward to the 2021 season I see a big dip in opportunity coming for the aged back, as the team added even more “OLD” dudes to compete/compliment Johnson. The Texans brought in Mark Ingram, Phillip Lindsay, and Rex Burkhead to form the NFL's version of the “Golden Girls” because the youngest of the bunch is Lindsay, who will be 27 years old next month, which in fantasy RB years is old. Johnson will be competing for touches out of the backfield in this likely annoying rotation that will not justify his current RB28 (64.5) sixth round ADP. Add in the fact that the Texan offensive line, who ranked towards the bottom of many categories last season, including a dead last finish in second-level yards will be damning to his production. Staying true to the Texans Brand they did literally nothing this off-season to improve it.

It wasn't just dismal offensive line play that hampered Johnson's first year in Houston, as Johnson himself was bad as a runner, ranking well outside the top twenty three in yards created and tackle evasion. With Watson likely not playing another snap as a Texan, especially in 2021, this team will look to rely on the ground game, which defenses will easily key in on and bottle up. I will not be targeting any Texan player in redraft leagues this season and Johnson is a definite no no as a 6th round pick for me. Let the other owners in your league mope up to the board to stick DJ's name on. Meanwhile you can be the owner that'll happily strut the draft aisle like Ric Flair at the Garden as you stick the name of a young high upside wide receiver, such as Chase Claypool, who is going in the same neighborhood as Johnson. WOOOOOOO!!!!!!
