The second year RB reportedly suffered a groin injury on a routine handoff drill with QB Mitch Trubisky. Reports originally believed it to be a knee that required him to be carted off the field. However, HC Matt Nagy stated he walked off under his own power, though in obvious pain.
Sources said Montgomery is expected to be out 2-4 weeks with this groin injury. With this injury time frame week one is still in play for the back.
Montgomery was upgraded to a full participant in todays practice.
