What went Right in 2020?

The one thing that I viewed as a positive for the 2020 Panther season is the fact that despite losing Christian McCaffrey for pretty much the entire season, this offense was still able to produce many viable fantasy assets. Mike Davis was able to fill in for the injured McCaffrey and produce solid fantasy numbers. The trio of Moore, Anderson, and Samuel all finished as top 26 fantasy wide receivers, though it was maddening to fantasy owners trying to decide which of the three would have the better week. However, what this season told me was Joe Brady’s offense can work in the NFL, and can produce fantasy-producing assets for our fantasy teams.

What Needs to Improve in 2021?

The biggest need of improvement for this Panthers team in 2021 is at the quarterback position. Teddy Bridgewater did ok for this club, but he isn’t a true starting caliber quarterback. Teddy is a quarterback that is good enough to get a team beat, meaning he can keep them in games and be competitive, but he can’t pull out the win. For this Panthers team to take a step forward and become playoff contenders they will need to replace Teddy Bridgewater, whether it be via a trade, free agency, or the upcoming draft this spring. Next time I will dive into the Franchise Exit Report for the Denver Broncos.
