What went Right in 2020?

Of course, the highlight of the Bears 2020 season has to be the fact that they were a playoff contender. In addition to being a contender, a major bright spot had to be Allen Robinson and his ability to be a top NFL and fantasy receiver, despite having below average quarterback play. With that, I fully believe Robinson will be playing his football in a new city come the start of the 2021 season. The other bright spot for this Bears team that has fantasy owners excited is the monster close to the season David Montgomery had at running back. We have to be careful with that however as we move into 2021. We have to remember that his production came without Tarik Cohen being on the field due to his season ending knee injury. Cohen is this teams passing down back, and will eat into those meaningful touches entering 2021. This is why I cannot look at Montgomery as more than an RB2 entering 2021. Cole Kmet and Darnell Mooney flashing also should be noted, as both should have prominent roles on this offense moving forward.

What Needs to Improve in 2021?

I hate to do it but I have to go back to that well of needing an upgraded quarterback. Mitch Trubisky and Nick Foles are not full season starting quarterbacks. It appears the team has finally realized this, as the team went hard after Carson Wentz to be the replacement for the aforementioned Trubisky and Foles, via a trade with the Eagles. Next time I will dive into the Franchise Exit Report for the Indianapolis Colts.
